Welcome to Thau Creates. We’re so glad you’re here. Make yourself comfortable and have a good time, but please follow our house rules. By using our website you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Accepting These Terms
This document and the other documents that we reference below make up our house rules, or what we officially call our Terms of Use (the “Terms” for short). The Terms are a legally binding contract between you and Thau Creates. This contract sets out your rights and responsibilities when you use thaucreates.com, and the other services provided by Thau Creates (we’ll refer to all of these collectively as our “Services”), so please read it carefully. By using any of our Services (even just browsing one of our websites or apps), you’re agreeing to the Terms. If you don’t agree with the Terms, you may not use our Services.
2. Newsletter
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, you may receive marketing communications from us if you have made a purchase, requested information, or agreed to receive such communications. Limited companies may receive marketing emails without explicit consent, but opting out is possible at any time.
3. Returns & Refunds
Due to the handcrafted nature of our work, we do not accept refund requests for any orders. By placing your customized order, you confirm that you have proofread and checked the message you entered. As hand lettering often introduces variations in spacing, size, and letter style, each piece is unique and cannot be returned or refunded. If you need help with your order please contact us. We are happy to help.
4. Cancelations
As we typically initiate work promptly upon receiving orders, cancellations are only accepted within the first 24 hours of placing an order, and if no work has begun. Please contact us if you need help with your order.
5. Shipping
Orders are shipped from Rockville, MD, United States to anywhere in the world. For international customers, please note that you are responsible for all import charges.
As soon as your order ships, we will email you a tracking number so you can check the status of your shipment. Please note that we can only provide you with the same shipping updates listed on the carrier’s tracking page. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee delivery dates on behalf of any carriers. While our order processing times are on track, during busy times like holidays, our shipping partners might face challenges, leading to potential delays. We know they are doing their best to get shipments delivered as quickly as possible!
6. Payments
To ensure the security of your personal information during online transit, we utilize the latest encryption software. Our products and services are available through secure payment processors, including Shopify, Intuit, Stripe, and Square, which monitor transactions 24/7 to prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
You agree to pay for all products and services purchased through our site, and Thau Creates may charge your payment method accordingly. Timely payment of all fees is essential, and you must provide a valid payment method.
For tax purposes, we are obligated to retain basic customer information for six years after they cease to be customers.
